Privacy Policy of 2FA Vault

This application does not require accounts and stores your OTP data locally.

Personal Data collected and usage

• OTP data (issuer, username, secret, digits, period) stored locally in iOS Keychain.
• App preferences (favorites, sort order, last used, usage count) stored on device.
• Camera used only for scanning QR codes.
• Clipboard used to copy a code when you tap an entry.
• Analytics basic, non-sensitive events (add/copy/remove). No secrets are sent.

Types of Data collected

OTP secrets and related metadata are stored locally on your device. The app may log basic usage events (e.g., add, copy, remove) that do not contain secrets.

Processing Methods

Data is processed locally on your device. No account is required.

Exports and Backups

You can export or back up your OTP entries to a JSON file. This action is initiated by you and saved to a location you choose.

Camera and Photos

The camera is used only to scan QR codes for OTP setup. If you choose to import a QR code from Photos, the app accesses only the selected image.

Clipboard

When you tap a code, it is copied to the clipboard for convenience.

Biometrics

Face ID can be used to unlock the app. Biometric data is handled by iOS and is not accessible to the app.

Data Retention

Data is stored locally until you delete it or erase all data in the app. Removing the app may not remove Keychain items immediately.

• Export or back up your data at any time.
• Erase all data from the app in Settings.
